The Centre provides a bus service to pick up and drop off children from home to school. Transport Service is subject to the following regulations:
A. General Regulation and Policy:
- Require bus fees to be paid on time according to mode of choice – i.e. monthly, term or yearly.
- All students, under the age of 16 years have to be picked up by the parent/guardian, etc., from the bus stop. No child will be left on their own by the bus conductor, regardless of verbal parental instructions.
- Students, above the age of 16 may be dropped off to go into their apartments on their own, only if the parent has signed consent in agreement with the Centre. However, the Centre decision shall be considered final in approval of such requests from parents.
- The Centre or its bus driver does not take responsibility in the event of a delay in the parents reaching their child to bus-boarding point. Parents shall be responsible to take their children to the Centre
- No calls or missed calls will be given to parents unless the bus will be more than half an hour late. Making calls takes the conductor’s attention away from the students under his/her supervision.
- If there is a breakdown, the school will inform the parents.
- In the morning, if the student is regularly late, the bus will leave after waiting not more than 2 minutes.
- The Centre’s bus driver shall have the right to return the student to the Centre should the caregiver/guardian not be present at the designated bus drop-off point at the designated time of drop-off. The responsibility, thereafter, of picking up the student from the Centre shall be assumed by the parents/guardians.
- The Centre’s responsibility ends at the point of the student being dropped off at the designated bus drop-off point. It is mutually agreed upon that the Centre ceases to be responsible for any untoward incident or issue that may arise after the student has been handed over to guardian/ caregiver/parent at the designated drop-off point.
- Student with a history of frequent convulsions will not be able to avail of the school transport, as the required medical attention cannot be provided on the bus.
- In the event of medical emergency, e.g., severe attack of convulsions, respiratory distress, etc., identified by the school nurse as requiring immediate medical intervention, the student will not be sent back on the bus. Parents are required to pick up the student from the Centre.
